This is an experiment in which you will be asked to watch short videos and answer brief questions
about them. It should take around 6 minutes to complete, and you will receive $1.00 for your time.
This experiment is part of a series of studies being conducted by a member of the Cognitive
Science department at the Johns Hopkins University, and has been approved by the University's

In this study, you will try to guess the meaning of different signs in a sign language.
On each trial, you will see a video of someone signing a word or phrase. The video will repeat once. Then two English phrases will be displayed.
Your job is to choose which English phrase is the one that the person was signing. You do not have to know a sign language; Just go with your gut!
The whole study will only take about 6 minutes; please stay focused!
